Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm, Pacific Standard Time

 

Rate of pay:

2 cents per word

Project description:

In search of an eloquent and creative ghostwriter to join our team of contractors as we grow the publishing arm of our company. As our ghostwriter, you will play an integral role in ensuring that the messages of our clients are delivered concisely and in their own unique voice.

Ideal candidates possess the knowledge and real-world experience in business and a variety of other topics. Do you possess the necessary skills? If so, we would love to meet and discuss the duties of this position and what an ongoing collaboration with our publishing team would look like.

Responsibilities:

  • Write for various industries using a specific tone that is identifiable to the original tone

  • Given a creative concept build content around it

  • Utilize research, knowledge and experience to build out the content

  • Collaborate with our Admins to clearly define the direction, purpose and voice of the content

  • Craft targeted content, carefully considering the needs and desires of the client’s audience and their ultimate objective

Necessary Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism preferred

  • Ability to meet deadlines, often working on multiple pieces at once

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact and draw out information from a variety of different audiences

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

  • Exceptional research skills with extensive knowledge of business

  • Ability to adapt with ease, depending upon the setting and audience

  • Patience and strong listening skills are critical

  • Detail-oriented and well-organized

  • Firm grasp of the English language; ability to craft quality pieces and edit when necessary

  • Awareness of time-sensitive issues and confidentiality

  • Portfolio of published works a bonus
